Lazt days

Well maybe not so much lazy as laid back and fall like... When I'm not yelling at Metro concession stand people, SAAQ people and edgy diplomatic people that is!!
What could be a more perfect pastime in this hibernating like weather then to sit back and make a nice quilt? Or at least I thought it was a good idea at the time. After sewing 20+ blocks almost entirely together I realized in the next phase of sewing, the remaining pieces weren't going to fit. This of course meant I'd done something wrong with the first phase... Now I'm undoing all the initial sewing... So instead of sewing on these beautiful fall days, I'm stitch ripping, re-ironing and resewing!!
My goal eventually for this project is to have quilted duvet covers to match both my summer and winter linens. Since one set is greens and whites and the other is blues and burgundies I felt it appropriate to use all my collected fabric in these specific shades and quilt them together. It should look great when I've mastered the art of manipulating pieces correctly, but until then I have to learn by trial and error.

"as ye sew, so shall ye rip" -- good luck with it!
