Among many things...

Sar and I went to the Elvis Story and survived it!! I have to say it was more Sarah's cup of tea than my own, but I survived none the less. We were surrounded by swooning little old biddies drooling over the fake Elvis which utterly confused me. His singing was great most of the time, but the volume was offensively loud. The dancing left a lot to be desired as well... Over all the story was cute and it gave people like myself, who don't know a lot about "the King" a chance to learn a light, sugar coated version of his life. ;)

I'm not dead!

Ok, so I'm not dead but my computer almost kicked the bucket... Thanks to my helpful brother-in-law it has been resuscitated to be used as an internet terminal until I can afford to install more RAM. It's actually going to be half the cost I thought it would be, but it's not a priority until I come home from my visiting my parents.
Apparently Montreal is the place to be this summer! I'm now in the company of my younger sister who I affectionately call Dinglebum ;) Our visit has been one like no other, for starters we're actually getting along!! :P We've been to church, to the Julep and lots of shopping. She's a great bargain hunter which makes shopping on a budget almost fun!
I still haven't crashed from all the adrenalin build up to finishing school and I'm beginning to think it might be reserved for when I'm over seas in the UK... This will be the first real vacation I've had in nearly two years! I'm dying to go, but at the same time I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by. To think August starts next week is a scary thought! But it's crazy to think I won't have to start classes in September. I get to start a new life as a real person!!!!
Much needs to be done before I leave and today is a good day to start. :P

It's Over...

No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's
Dirty looks

School's out for summer
School's out forever
School's out with fever
School's out completely

Twenty years of fighting the system and it's over. I still can't believe it, it doesn't feel real! It hasn't left me with the "what do I do now" feeling yet. I feel like I know exactly what I should do and almost certainly how to do it. The joy of now having a music degree is the flexibility of where and when to find work. My bigger priority at the moment is getting out of school associated debt and becoming what I affectionately call a "real person". I'm almost more excited about not knowing where the work will take me, or how successful I might be in life. I haven't even had my traditional absolute melt down yet, but that can be solved with an evening of Gladiator and Saving Private Ryan back to back.
Allie and co. came for the weekend to visit on family business, and what an amazing visit it was!! I never realized I could accommodate for six people in my apartment, but it can be done ;) I can't believe how much Ella has grown! As one of many gifts my sister bestowed upon me were the supplies necessary to complete my next stitching project. I'm so excited I can barely contain myself :P
Jessie did me a great favour and had me hired as a substitute in the Daycare she works in. I was definitely hesitant at first, but it's a great working environment. I'm working with the older kids which makes it a piece of cake. They're so cute! And it means being able to spend time with Jess on a daily basis till my vacation *Wuhoo*!
